Emma Aspinall

Emma Aspinall is an Associate at Dentons, practicing in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law group in Calgary. She has experience in corporate insolvency and restructuring matters, including acting for lenders, financial institutions, and court officers, as well as in corporate and securities law with an emphasis on capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.

Emma has advised clients on bankruptcy matters, receiverships, corporate negotiations, and workouts, and has assisted lenders in enforcement and recovery of loans. She has also acted in litigation with an emphasis on insolvency matters and commercial disputes. Notable transactions include advising Capital Power Corporation on the renewal of its MTN program and on a CA$450 million public offering of subordinated notes.

She holds a J.D. from the University of Alberta (2023) and a Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations) from Mount Royal University (2020). She was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2024.
