John Regush

John Regush is a Partner in Dentons' Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy group, based in the Calgary office, practicing in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law. His practice focuses on bankruptcy, receivership, and restructuring law, including strategic insolvency planning, insolvency litigation, and acting as counsel to debtor companies, creditors, monitors, and trustees in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings. He also has experience in judgment enforcement and corporate litigation matters.

Mr. Regush has advised Capital Power Corporation on its US$1.2 billion private offering of senior notes and Promising Expert Limited on its acquisition of Dynamic Technologies Group Inc. through CCAA proceedings at a valuation of approximately US$20 million. He completed his articles of clerkship at the Court of Queen's Bench Calgary before joining Dentons as an associate in 2015.

John holds a J.D. from the University of Alberta (2014), where he was awarded the Horace Harvey Gold Medal as the top student in his graduating class, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta (2011), where he received the Dr. Hu Harries Medal as the top graduate from the School of Business and the Governor General's Silver Medal for the highest standing in a Bachelor program.
