Jacqueline Rowniak

Jacqueline Rowniak is a Partner in the Banking and Finance group of Dentons' Montréal office, specializing in corporate and commercial law, with a focus on banking and financing transactions including bilateral and syndicated transactions, aircraft financings, debt restructuring and asset‑based lending.

She has acted for lenders and borrowers on a wide range of complex financing transactions, including advising the Bank of Montreal as administrative agent on a US$170 million cross‑border secured acquisition financing for Pivotal Payments, advising as administrative agent on a syndicated cross‑border asset‑based financing for a leading steel manufacturer and distributor, and advising on CA$116 million syndicated financing for a leading agricultural producer and on aircraft leasing and purchase transactions. She also works closely with the Montréal start‑up community, drawing on several years of in‑house experience at a digital music start‑up before becoming a lawyer.

Jacqueline holds a BCL and LL.B from McGill University (2014) and a B.A. from McGill University (2007).

She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada – Ones to Watch for Banking and Finance Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law. She serves as a supervising lawyer at McGill University’s Compass Startup Legal Clinic.
