Justin Hamzo

Justin Hamzo is an Associate in the firm's Banking and Finance group, based in the Montréal office. He has a broad corporate and commercial law practice with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities transactions and corporate finance, and venture technology and emerging growth companies.

Mr. Hamzo has advised the Montréal Port Authority on securing CA$1.16 billion in financing from the Canada Infrastructure Bank for the Contrecœur container terminal expansion project, Aéroports de Montréal on a C$1 billion financing from the Canada Infrastructure Bank, and National Bank of Canada as administrative agent on syndicated financings including a $500 million facility to EBI Opération Inc. and a US$65 million facility to a specialty pharmaceutical company for the acquisition of global product rights. He also advised Zenobē EV Canada on a CA$48 million debt financing to 7Gen Project2 Corporation for electric vehicle leasing and charging infrastructure, and a Quebec-based private fund on a CA$13 million financing for an agricultural biomethanation project.

Justin holds an LLB from the Université de Montréal (2022), where he was named to the Dean's List for three consecutive years (2020, 2021, 2022). He also completed online programs in OHADA law and French law at Université Cheikh Anta Diop and Université Sorbonne Paris Nord in 2021.
