Martin Poulin

Martin Poulin is a Partner in Dentons' Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy and Litigation and Dispute Resolution groups in Montréal, focusing on bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, civil and commercial litigation, construction and environmental litigation.

He is an experienced litigator who has appeared before all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada. He advises secured lenders on enforcing their security through hypothecary rights and remedies, and advises corporate debtors on reorganizations under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA) and other insolvency proceedings. He also advises banks on lender liability, bills of exchange, letters of credit, fraud and asset recovery matters, and in obtaining extraordinary remedies including Mareva injunctions, Norwich orders and Anton Piller orders. He regularly represents owners and contractors in construction disputes and advises on public tenders, Régie du bâtiment compliance, and construction legislation.

Martin holds an LL.B from the Université de Montréal (2004).
