Morgan Burris

Morgan Burris is a Partner in Dentons' Vancouver office and a member of the Construction, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, and Infrastructure and PPP groups, specialising in Dispute Resolution. She helps clients across public and private sectors identify and execute practical solutions for existing and potential disputes in a way that aligns with their strategic goals.

Morgan provides strategic advice throughout the procurement and construction process, guiding owners, developers and contractors through disputes involving delay claims, negligence, faulty design and workmanship, change in site conditions, builders' liens and warranty claims. She has represented clients in complex multi-party arbitrations and at all levels of courts in British Columbia and the Yukon, and has acted as appellate counsel in multiple appeals. Her engineering background enables her to understand technical issues deeply and quickly, giving her an advantage in developing legal strategy.

Morgan holds an LL.B. from the University of Victoria (2008) and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University (2003). She is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.
