Ivy Yang

Ivy Yang is a Senior Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution group at Dentons Vancouver, specializing in Dispute Resolution. She maintains a broad practice in commercial litigation, including shareholder disputes, debt recovery, contract breaches, and commercial tenancy disputes, as well as regulatory and administrative matters, including quasi‑criminal defense and regulatory investigations.

Ivy regularly appears before the British Columbia Supreme Court and the British Columbia Provincial Court. She has successfully represented clients in a real estate contract dispute before the Provincial Court, acted as co‑counsel for a landlord in a commercial tenancy dispute before the Supreme Court, and achieved a unanimous decision in favour of dropping an investigation against a client before their professional regulatory body during a disciplinary hearing. She has also obtained an order for rectification of title in favour of a client following an error in the certificate of title, and acted as co‑counsel in a quasi‑criminal matter resulting in a significant reduction of charges and a favourable sentence outcome.

Ivy holds a J.D. from the University of Calgary (2020) and a B.A. in Visual Arts from Western University (2016), where she was a recipient of the Faculty Alumni Award and multiple scholarships of excellence. She is admitted to practice in British Columbia (2021) and Alberta (2021, inactive).
