Pablo Retamozo

Pablo Retamozo is a Partner in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, based in the Edmonton office, practicing in Dispute Resolution. He focuses on personal injury and tort litigation, representing clients in matters ranging from minor to catastrophic injuries, as well as fatalities. He also represents national and multinational transportation companies in litigation when tort claims are brought against them.

Mr. Retamozo began his career defending personal injury claims on behalf of insurance companies, giving him insight into how claims are handled internally by insurers and enabling him to negotiate cooperatively with major insurance companies to obtain the best possible settlements for his clients through settlement meetings, mediations, and judicial dispute resolution. He also has experience in commercial litigation, including Anton Piller applications, Mareva injunctions, summary judgment applications, and appeal hearings before the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Alberta Court of King's Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal.

Pablo holds a J.D. from the University of Alberta (2014) and a B.A. in Criminology with Distinction from the University of Alberta (2011). He was part of the University of Alberta winning team at the Laskin National Moot Competition in 2013.
