Rick Pawluk

Rick Pawluk is a Partner in the firm's Corporate Law group, based in the Calgary office. He has extensive experience in corporate and securities law, including initial public offerings, equity and debt financings, public and private mergers, takeover bids, acquisitions, disposition transactions, and business combinations across the energy, oil and gas, mining, biotechnology, and agribusiness industries.

Mr. Pawluk has acted for publicly traded and private companies with assets in Canada, the US, Egypt, Pakistan, and other countries, advising on domestic and international financing, acquisition, and divestiture transactions. He has significant international stock exchange listing experience on the Hong Kong, London, AIM, New York, and NASDAQ exchanges, and has led financing and other transactions totaling several billion dollars. He also advises clients on competition and foreign investment law matters, including Competition Bureau investigations and reviewable business practices.

Rick holds an LLB from the University of Manitoba (1994) and an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors (2012). He is recognized by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in Corporate Mid-Market, Private Equity, and Life Sciences & Health.
