Chris Wolfenberg

Chris Wolfenberg is a Partner in the Corporate group at Dentons in Calgary, focusing on public and private corporate and securities transactions in the technology, mining and energy sectors.

He advises clients on a range of matters including M&A, public offerings, private placements, venture capital financings, and corporate governance, and acts as Director and Officer of a number of public, private and not-for-profit entities. Notable matters include advising Parkland Corporation on the acquisition of 163 Husky and Esso retail locations across Canada, acting for EV Nickel Inc. on its initial public offering and TSX Venture Exchange listing, and advising Kent Imaging Inc. on its US$15 million private equity investment from TVM Life Science Innovation II SCSp. He also advises private clients in the Fintech, cryptocurrency and IoT sectors on corporate finance, seed financing and platform launches.

Chris holds an LL.M. from Cornell Law School (2003), an LL.B from Queen's University (2001), and a B.S.S. from the University of Ottawa (1998).

He was named Canadian Lawyer of the Year for Mining Law by Best Lawyers (2021) and has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Senate of Canada 150th Anniversary Medal for his community contributions.
