Wil (Wilfred) Chan

Wil (Wilfred) Chan is a Partner in Dentons' Real Estate practice group, specialising in Real Estate Law. He advises clients on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, developments, dispositions, financing, leasing and subdivisions, with experience acting for real estate developers, purchasers, vendors, private lenders, borrowers, landlords and tenants across Canada and the United States.

Wil has advised on significant transactions, including Parkland Corporation on its acquisition of 163 Husky and Esso retail locations across Canada, acting as Canadian counsel to KPS Capital Partners on its affiliates agreement to acquire Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Inc. from CRH Plc for approximately US$3.45 billion, and advising Rokstad Power Corporation on a complex CCAA restructuring to re-acquire full ownership of its businesses from the Carillion Group. He has also advised on the acquisition and financing of a commercial high-rise office building in Vancouver's financial district and the acquisition of a seniors housing and hospitality service provider in British Columbia.

Wil holds a J.D. and a B.Sc. in Animal Biology from the University of British Columbia.
