Jean-Pierre Katcho

Jean-Pierre Katcho is a Senior Associate in the Corporate Law group of Dentons' Montréal office, specialising in Mergers and Acquisitions. He focuses on commercial law and M&A, advising clients on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements across manufacturing, agribusiness, and IT services sectors.

Jean-Pierre has significant experience in international trade matters, including the importation of goods, transportation and logistics, and export compliance. He has advised on numerous M&A transactions, including the acquisition of a North American ambulance manufacturer, the acquisition of sawmills and related forestry operations for a Québec family‑owned forest products company, and the acquisition of a life sciences company by a US‑based medical technology leader. He also advises on competition law and foreign investment, including Canadian Competition Bureau filings and advance ruling certificate applications.

Jean-Pierre holds an LL.B. from the Université de Montréal and an M.A. in Economics from McGill University. He also serves as director and corporate secretary of Fondation 4 Poches, supporting families of children with severe disabilities.
