Kim Bastow

Kim Bastow is an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Dentons' Edmonton office, maintaining a broad civil litigation practice encompassing construction disputes, builders' liens, real property, expropriation, municipal planning and development, administrative law, commercial disputes, infrastructure matters, debt collection, and insurance defence.

She assists clients from initial risk assessment through negotiation, mediation and court advocacy, and has appeared before the Alberta Court of King's Bench and Court of Justice, as well as administrative tribunals including Edmonton's Subdivision and Appeal Board and Alberta's Land and Property Rights Tribunal. Prior to law, she gained substantive experience in provincial and municipal government, management consulting and the non-profit sector, with expertise in land development, energy and infrastructure projects, and Indigenous consultation requirements.

Kim holds a J.D. with a specialization in Aboriginal and Indigenous Law from Lakehead University, an MBA from Cape Breton University, and a B.A. from The King's University.
