Tamya Chowdhury

Tamya Chowdhury is an Associate in Dentons' Edmonton office, practicing in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution and Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy groups, with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation.

Her experience includes corporate fraud, health law, insolvency-related disputes, and other commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Dentons, she worked as a clerkship student at the Provincial Court of Alberta, conducting research, drafting memoranda and assisting judges across various areas of law.

Tamya holds a J.D. with Distinction from the University of Alberta (2021), where she received the Lieberman Prize in Law and Medicine and the Marilyn Moysa Award in Health Law, and a B.Sc.N. with Distinction from the University of Alberta (2014).

She volunteers as a lawyer at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association.
