Margaret Weltrowska

Margaret Weltrowska is a Partner at Dentons in Montreal, co-leader of the national Class Action group, and leader of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in the firm's Montreal office. With over 20 years of experience, her practice focuses on commercial and civil litigation, class actions, franchising and product liability.

She advises a broad range of clients in the advertising, consumer protection and e-commerce sectors on promotional and branding issues, online marketing and sales, and regulated consumer products and services, as well as compliance with the Québec Charter of the French Language (Bill 101). She has represented clients before the Québec Superior Court, the Québec Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and various administrative and arbitral tribunals, and participates in international commercial arbitrations, including a CA$100 million ICC arbitration. Notable matters include defending Nissan in multiple high-stakes privacy class actions arising from a customer data breach, achieving a settlement worth approximately 0.1% of the original claim.

Margaret holds an LL.B from the Université de Montréal (1996).
