Ryan Middleton

Ryan Middleton is the National Practice Group Lead of Dentons Canada's Banking and Finance group, based in the Toronto office, practicing in Banking and Finance Law. He is recognized as a leading banking and finance lawyer, advising domestic and international lenders and borrowers in all areas of debt financing transactions, including technology lending, cash-flow lending, syndicated financings, acquisition financings, bond financings, real estate financings, asset-based lending, project finance, and subordinated/mezzanine financings.

Mr. Middleton has advised on numerous significant transactions, including joint book-running managers on the US$800 million offering by Ontario Teachers' Cadillac Fairview Properties Trust, on a CA$190 million syndicated construction facility, a US$3 billion revolving credit facility for a Canadian resource company, a CA$625 million revolving credit facility for a global energy supplier, a CA$200 million commercial real estate financing for CDPQ and OMERS, and has advised on over 35 separate financing transactions for Roynat Capital Inc. He has also advised on cross-border multi-currency facilities for aerospace manufacturers and asset-based lending for automotive and printing companies.

He holds an LLB from the University of Windsor (2005) and a BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University (1999). He has been recognized by Chambers Global and Chambers Canada in Banking and Finance, The Legal 500 Canada, The Best Lawyers in Canada in Banking and Finance Law, and IFLR 1000 Canada.
