Steven Latos

Steven Latos is a Partner in Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution group, based in the Calgary office. His practice focuses on Commercial Litigation, with a varied litigation practice including corporate, commercial and civil litigation matters.

Steven has obtained successful results in actions before all levels of courts in Alberta and the Saskatchewan Court of King's Bench, as well as through arbitration proceedings. He has experience in the construction, insurance and energy industries, and maintains a practice in the financial services sector, where he has worked on behalf of large financial institutions in defending against fraud, breach of contract, negligence and other matters involving litigation and financial risk.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University (MI), where he was a member of the varsity baseball team, and received his JD with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan. He is a volunteer with the Pro Bono Duty Counsel project at the Provincial Court (Civil) and with the Pro Bono Amicus project at the Alberta Court of King's Bench.

He is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan, the Law Society of Alberta, the Law Society of Canada and the Calgary Bar Association. He was first recognised in 2022 by The Best Lawyers in Canada – Ones to Watch for Corporate and Commercial Litigation.
