Sydney Prince

Sydney Prince is an Associate at Dentons, practicing in the Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies group, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. Her practice focuses on venture financings, M&A, and corporate governance.

Sydney advises technology and emerging growth companies on corporate transactions, including venture capital financings, strategic investments, and mergers and acquisitions. Notable matters include advising Basetwo Artificial Intelligence Inc. on its US$11.5 million Series A financing; advising Field Effect Software on its US$30 million Series A financing led by Edison Partners; and acting as Canadian counsel to 3Play Media in its acquisition of CaptionMax and NCC, the largest live captioning provider in Canada. She also advises funds on venture capital investments and represents technology companies from formation through exit.

She holds a J.D. from Queen's University Faculty of Law (2021), where she was a senior editor of the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal and president of Queen's Venture Law Society, and a BCom in Hotel and Food Administration with Distinction from the University of Guelph (2018).
